MP3 Musicvine - Family Tree?
A few minutes ago, I discovered this really nifty resource as I was Googling the late 60's rock group Ultimate Spinach. (You remember them, don't you?)
This three-dimensional family tree groups musicians and groups together based on affinities with others. In some cases, the relationship is based on their names (i.e. Mott The Hoople linked with Tony Mottola); in others, individual artists are linked to groups they had been associated with (i.e., Ian Hunter linked with Mott The Hoople.)
One could spend hours exploring the relationships!
Suggest you give it a shot, type in the name of your favorite group, and waste some time. Make sure to have some bitchen' music from the 60's blasting to complete the experience.
